Who is Milan Victor?

Yep thats me. Grandpa Milan Homola holding me at my baptism service; performed by Grandpa Vic Brown on the right.

At first glance, its cliche to use my name (I had sworn I would never purchase a domain name like that), but after some wise counsel I embraced two truths:

First, my values revolve around relational authenticity. I endeavor to build partnerships rooted in soil richer than logos and bravado. The greatest thing we each bring to the table is our own transforming selves.

Second, my name has a rich legacy. I was named after both my grandfathers.

  • Milan- My paternal grandfather was a self-made carpenter building homes in Northern Illinois for decades. He worked with his hands well into his 90’s. He was a sweet and gentle man. “Milan” is a slavic name meaning “kind, loving, gracious.”

  • Victor- My maternal grandfather was a Presbyterian minister in a long line of ministers. He humbly served just as many years after retirement as prior to it. By his own confession he grew closer to God sitting in the pews, not looking down on them. He played golf and tennis well into his 90’s.

Together their lives represent a character that is determined, willing to get their hands dirty, full of theological depth, and sacrificial in their service to others.

I have pride in this legacy and consider it an honor to walk that out.

Tara and I have been married 19 years and we have three kids. Ariana Eden, Brooklyn Shiloh, and Isaiah Eleyohn Victor

My Background & Experience

Born in the Midwest (Chicago suburbs- Go Cubs!)
Developed in the Pacific Northwest (13 years in Portland for graduate school and organizational launch)
Returning prodigal to the Midwest ( Minnesota since 2018)

I’m a down-to-earth guy who enjoys family, reading, and seeking out rare birds.

I’m a collaborative leader with 15+ years of leadership as co-founder and Exec. Director of a non-profit organization. Led projects in the areas of health care, anti-exploitation, and diverse collaboration. Served in 26 unique communities across the US, East Africa, and India.

Experience working with hundreds of churches, leaders, and volunteers from dozens of different organizations. Skilled at leading staff and boards through strategic planning retreats that are spiritually enriching and clarifying for action.

I have a deep passion for practical collaboration amongst Jesus’ followers as a means of displaying the gospel.

How it Works.

The focus of Milan's work is leadership development and helping teams thrive. He is primarily serving churches and organizations that seek to follow Jesus.  Many of these leaders are isolated and the organizations don't have the budget for this kind of service; therefore the Homola family is walking in faith by raising support for this meaningful work.
